Working with our couples approximately 30 days prior to their wedding allows our Senior Planners enough time to create a relationship with each couple and gives them the time needed to check in with all vendors and the venue(s) to guarantee every detail is accounted for to run a smooth and stress-free wedding day!
Jordan and Johnnie’s Classic and Modern Wedding on the Hudson
Meet one of our wonderful Month of Coordination couples, Jordan and Johnnie.
One of our most seasoned planners, Joy, worked with Jordan and Johnnie for the final 30 days leading up to their wedding in November as part of our Month-of Coordination Service. Joy had been their planner before they had to reschedule due to COVID, and all parties involved were thrilled it was finally happening!
For Jordan and Johnnie, the most important part of the day was having all their friends and family together to witness the unity of their relationship. Covid put a pin in their original wedding plans, so to finally make it to this point was a dream for the two of them. They were ready to celebrate and have the wedding they wanted and deserved!
Jordan and Johnnie kept their design modern, classic and simple -white and black attire accentuated by white florals was all they needed to highlight the INCREDIBLE Hudson River views! One aspect we especially loved – hilarious Flower Guys who stole the show! They even had matching bright blue jackets for a pop of color.
Jordan got ready at the W Hotel in Hoboken and Johnnie got ready at the Courtyard Marriott in Edgewater. Transportation brought Johnnie and his groomsmen over to the W Hotel where he shared his First Look with Jordan, with spectacular views of the Hudson River and Manhattan in the background. The entire bridal party then hopped into photos along Frank Sinatra Drive where they coincidentally ran into Dennis Rodman (!) who was more than happy to take a few photos with the couple! After spending some time along the water in Hoboken, everyone piled into the party bus to Waterside Events for the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The ceremony also took place along the water with beautiful city views…right on the Hudson! Jordan and Johnnie then partied all night on the third floor with fantastic music, delicious food, and the sparkling city skyline.
Hands down, Senior Planner Joy’s favorite part of the day was First Look. She says, “Everything happened so seamlessly and organically, and the two of them seeing one another for the first time was truly something special. They love each other SO MUCH and that translated very easily through their photos. Unfortunately, they had to postpone their wedding multiple times due to COVID, so to finally see everything come together after so much time waiting was priceless.”
